Closing down for a week and other reflections

Well, yesterday was my last full day at the current day job. Granted, as a Friday, most of the office was either out on leave or out on travel, but that didn’t make the day any easier to get through. Tomorrow we’re off to Tennessee for a few days vacation, then I come back to do my out processing paperwork and luncheon. Kind of surreal in a lot of ways. In barely a week I’ll be reporting for duty at ThinkGeek – *wow* 😀

Writing is progressing, albeit slowly. I feel like if there’s a newbie mistake to be made, I’m either recovering from it or in the process of realizing I made it. At this point I’m glad I wasn’t fool enough to ask anyone to read the first draft- rereading this has brought so much to mind that I don’t think the second draft is likely to resemble it too much. Last night I toyed with the snowflake method, though to be honest its starting to feel like the snowball method at the moment (which is no reflection on the excercise, just on my disjointed consciousness).

That and I think I have a case of cranial disharmony under way. Bah.
