first, to be fair, newegg has the best prices most times. i’ve found myself running low on diskspace lately, and with kim expecting a hospital trip anytime in the next few weeks, i want to be sure to be able to record stuff and not run out of space while i do it. so, this week (Wednesday) i ordered a 250 gig sata drive, of which i think a good 200 gigs will be dedicated to storage for recordings. i paid the extra fees for rush and second day delivery.
alas, if it had meant anything. today i was down to my last 2 gigs on my 120 (ouch). granted, part of that was because i had myth recording every episode of stargate instead of just the new episodes, but even so it rehighlighted how much i need that new drive. and when will it be here? oh, monday if i’m to trust ups’ guesstimate. so i ask, what’s the point of paying extra to have your order rushed through newegg, to have second day delivery, if in the end it’s still going to be 5+ days until it arrives. ack. hmmm…that reminds me, i need to go schedule project runway for kim. myth is awesome, newegg has great prices, but man do i hate having to wait.
