Quick note

This is just a quick note as I realized this morning that the last thing I posted was a grumble about emerging kde-meta (3.4.0). In case any kde folks are out there planning a little mob action, once I got past the libtool problem (which was only manifest with kde, not kde specific) everything went in fine and *wowzers* has kde grown up since the last time I looked at it. I guess now that I’m finally not struggleing with a p300 as my fastest box I’m willing to play a little with something that has a bit more eye spazz.

Somehow that doesn’t sound flattering, and really, I am really impressed with KDE, in particular the current version of Kontact – anything that lets you sub-todo your todo items with a date relevance rocks, and so kontact wins the vote!

Oh yeah, perl…and this being bug day…tough decision is going to be between attempting again those few bugs that I just can’t seem to grasp a handle on, like the authen-pam bug where random boxes in my collection can dup the prob – and others can’t; the internal compiler bug which is rather vocal, if only I were smart on the differences of the intricacies of hardened vs vanilla gcc; or do I just settle for playing with the others, and maybe finally meeting my promise of a bug list for the arch’s so that the core perl installs they’ve marked aren’t being superceded by outdated modules that they’ve also marked…

That’s assuming that the thunderstorms or floods don’t get me first (I’m a worry wart).
