whence revirter?

As malte brought up in a recent bug, I dropped the revirter functionality out of perl-cleaner (though apparently I failed to drop it from the man page – grrrrrrrr). Just to sum up for anyone following my score with the perl language release lately, i’m at -5000 points right now. Revirter will be back in a near-future release of perl-cleaner, but I had to drop it for now because it wasn’t smart enough to recognize those packages that we PDEPEND in dev-lang/perl vs. something you might have installed on your system ‘naturally’ prior to their being versioned virtuals. Removing it en whole was the quickest solution in what was quickly becoming a hairy situation (perl-cleaner md5 problems, perl bumps in less than a day, etc.) It’ll be back after I get about 5 minutes to make it smart enough not to replace your valid perl-core deps with the virtuals…which as I type this (and hopefully remember to re-read later) would be as simple as dropping perl-5.8.8 from the versioned virtual (and so even in uninstalling the dep, it would reinstall it….brilliant….redundant, but it would be a kwik solution…)
