Birthday Wishes

Just two quick birthday wishes (AKA, procrastination when I should be writing to reach my daily goal).

To MLK – anyone could have thought the words; anyone could have sat back and written the speeches, or done the deeds. History isn’t marked by those that could have done something, though, but those that did. To the historical and social ramifications of just getting things done (to cross polinate a philosophy or two) by just doing them, hats off, and happy birthday.

And of course, I must give proper wishes to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Edgar Allen Poe, who gave me (and you!) the “Fall of the House of Usher,” fodder for countless Vincent Price jems, and of course, the original Annabel Lee.

OK, procrastination time over. Must. Write.
