Well, it’s hardly a secret, but tomorrow’s my birthday, which makes today the last Sunday, and indeed last day, of my 38th year. I know it’s been quiet around these parts lately, and I wish I had something more to show of it. The sad truth is I’ve just been busy, which doesn’t isn’t incredibly flattering to you, the readers, I realize. One could argue that it is better not to clog your browsers with random posts that have no substance.
As I end yet one more trip around the sun, I have to say I had a pretty good weekend. I got to see some family yesterday, which doesn’t happen often enough. After all of the apprehension about seeing relatives for the first time in years, it was actually a really good time. Today, my in-laws stopped by, and then the whole family sat down and watched Cosmos on hulu. The youngest had some questions, but I think everyone’s looking forward to catching the next episode, which I took to be a success. That they are probably going to get to see it tomorrow because the school’s already closed for snow, well, that’s a surprise treat.
Or as our middle daughter pointed out, now I can start counting down to 40. And she thinks she saw some grey in my hair. Great kid, that one.
