How to create near-infinite clones

…of tomatoes (via How to create near-infinite clones of your favorite tomato (or any) plant | Ars Technica). I find this somewhat apropos today since Wife has begun a great gardening project that just leaves me in awe (seen below in its early stages with her “helpers”).

…you can do this with tons of different plants. Roses are a common one (though you should be careful—many rose varieties are now patented, and the companies forbid you from propagating them via cuttings without paying. To them, it’s like torrenting an illegal copy of the rose).

I found this tidbit just fascinating – plant clones can be thought of as torrents. What a world we could live in where illegal cloning could be sued for duplicating copyrighted genomes.
