I received an odd email from LinkedIn yesterday that I’m still struggling to grasp. A few months ago, LinkedIn added a new feature where you could quickly endorse someone for the skills in their profile. I think for some people its a game to see how many they can hit, but all in all, I’ve never taken it seriously. Then I got this email:
“You’re one of the top 1% most endorsed in United States for Apache.”
And all I can think is – really? Me? I’m not trying to sound modest, but I just don’t see it. And if its true – we’re all doomed folks, because I know what I kludged together in that httpd.conf file the other day, and it isn’t pretty.
