Just last month I mentioned Baen’s online catalog as being a great place to go to get a certain flavor of science fiction and fantasy book at a nice price, without DRM standing in your way. No sooner do I lead you there than they cut the head off – word on the street is Baen is cutting a deal with Amazon, which means a lot of the e-books you can get at Baen are going to go up in price and move to amazon.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big supporter of Amazon. Mostly because they have all of my money and if they ever folded I’d lose access to a large portion of the books I’ve bought in recent years, but that’s neither here nor there. This is your heads up, get it while you can, and read this article for a better scoop that my pick axe has shared.
