Back in the writer’s seat tonight

It’s been a rough week. Since last Thursday, I’ve been dealing with a gout attack that is only tonight finally starting to abate (6 days). It’s made for some miserable times trying to write, or do much else.

Which is unfortunate since Tuesday I released Chrysalis. This time, I opted to release on multiple e-book platforms (iBooks, kobo, nook, etc.) in addition to Kindle, which means I can’t take part in the Kindle Unlimited program. It’s still way too early to draw any conclusions, but I’m not seeing an advantage yet in trading KU for wider distribution.  But of course, dealing with gout has meant not being able to give the release the attention it deserves either.

Until tonight.

I have a steroid now, and that seems to be doing a marvelous job of helping. So well in fact that tonight I was able to write 500 words. Only a page or two’s worth, I know, but in a dry spell I’ll take anything I can get. And yes, this is in the book after Chrysalis 😉

And if you haven’t had a chance yet, checkout Chrysalis on Amazon – if you have a Kindle (or a web browser 😉 ) you can preview the start of the book.
